Is God in us? Of course!

When I was very young, my father was in the Marines, and I remember moving from base to base…always feeling unsettled. I only felt at home in the small town in Oklahoma to which we always returned. It was the place where my first memories were formed. It was the place in which I always felt most known and welcomed. It was the place I would never have left…if I had been able to choose.

Did God, before scattering us and sending us away to live in our own houses, plant in our subconscious minds the memories of “having begun” in His Spirit. Might that be the reason we find it so hard to feel “at home” anywhere else?
