This is a Christmas story that I enjoy. I hope it brings joy to others. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. ~ Eric
Who knew that there’s another purpose and whole other life for our old shoeboxes?
Don’t throw your old shoeboxes away! Fill them with gifts to give to children living in third world countries this Christmas! It is definitely one way to bring Meaning and Joy to your Christmas giving for you and your family!
This mission, should you choose to accept is called “Operation Christmas Child”.
Operation Christmas Child is run by Samaritan’s Purse since 1993. I did a bit of googling and found that there are Samaritan’s Purse drop off locations in the US and they are receiving gifts until 20 December.
Here is their Website:

Tonight I had the privilege to visit the Samaritan’s Purse warehouse based in Sydney, Australia with some of our church people. Our church partnered with this organization this year and my husband and I decided that we’d like to participate as well!

Wonderful idea. With all the bustle of Christmas it is too easy to overlook the true meaning of it.
Mel is from Sidney. She’s really sweet. Do you follow Mel?

YAY – you are two of my favorites! 🙂
My MIL’s church does this every year so we’ve been involved with it. Such a great thing to do. Thanks for sharing.
