This one is dedicated to my friends sharing about the pains and joys in their recovery.
Program Description
Having pain is not fun, but sometimes when it lasts for a long time and after you get used to it, you feel different about it. I guess our brains start releasing some hormones and our perception of pain changes.
“Whatever happens, just keep smiling and lose yourself in Love.”
~ Rumi

Lost In The Call
Lord, said David, since you do not need us,
why did you create these two worlds?
Reality replied: O prisoner of time,
I was a secret treasure of kindness and generosity,
and I wished this treasure to be known,
so I created a mirror: its shining face, the heart;
its darkened back, the world;
The back would please you if you’ve never seen the face.
Has anyone ever produced a mirror out of mud and straw?
Yet clean away the mud and straw,
and a mirror might be revealed.
Until the juice ferments a while in the cask, it isn’t wine.
If you wish your heart to be bright, you must do a little work.
My King addressed the soul of my flesh:
You return just as you left.
Where are the traces of my gifts?
We know that alchemy transforms copper into gold.
This Sun doesn’t want a crown or robe from God’s grace.
He is a hat to a hundred bald men,
a covering for ten who were naked.
Jesus sat humbly on the back of an ass, my child!
How could a zephyr ride an ass?
Spirit, find your way, in seeking lowness like a stream.
Reason, tread the path of selflessness into eternity.
Remember God so much that you are forgotten.
Let the caller and the called disappear;
be lost in the Call.

Thank you so much for these tips. I really love reading your blog, it’s really informative and you always something helpful to share with us. I really appreciate it.
I kind of hope you were thinking of me as one of your friends when you wrote this. I prayed and prayed and prayed this weekend while I was in pain (actually Monday was worse) and had no extra pain meds to use post surgery since the pharmacy wouldn’t fill the script on Friday and insurance denied on Monday. My prayers weren’t answered but that’s ok. I would say that if there was something that would be like a voice of God to me, it would be the words of Rumi and not the Bible. Perhaps we all have our place here in the world. =)
Question. The email responses aren’t set up like Xanga on here and I find them slightly confusing, but I can’t seem to locate all comments directed to me on the dashboard, so I’m finding that I have to visit every post I’ve visited to find my responses on my comments. Is there a place that all comments go on your dashboard?
RE: Question
Comments that you make at another blog are tracked in at least two places; plus before you click on [Post Comment] you can select the notify box. Most blogs leave it turned on. As I am typing this reply, the options to [Post Comment] and also to ‘Notify me of follow-up comments via email.’ are displayed right below the reply box. So, you can select eh Notify (it will be sent to your e-mail) to get one if anyone replies.
The dashboard also provides a link to comments that you made. Two methods:
1a) Actually open the dashboard. The shortcut “Comments” is only for the comments that post on your blog. The comments that you want to see are “Comments I’ve Made” and you can view that in dashboard or 1b) use a link (that is available after “Comments I’ve Made” opens — it is listed above the comments on the “Comments I’ve Made” page. It says “Help us try out a new version of this page, which combines your Likes and Comments in one view!” That opens the reader page of comments that you’ve made.
2) Is the same as 1a) except that you open Reader and click on “Comments I’ve Made” in your reader (left side).
The best bet is use the Notify when you make a comment. The “Comments I’ve Made” list is short. I can’t track mine that way anymore – there are too many and they get lost because the list isn’t generated from day one to now – its much shorter than that.
Its not Xanga – you know you’ll be thinking that – I still do.
Let me know if you need any other help.

yes “I kind of hope you were thinking of me as one of your friends when you wrote this.”
Recovery is tough and I recall that you mentioned the medication flub. I follow people too that have lots of other painful experiences – emotional, medical, addiction, abuse, etc.
People tend to need to be with people that care no matter if they do or don’t believe in God. I don’t worry about what my friends believe about God — at all. I don’t like anyone saying that God isn’t necessary (unless they would be able to do that privately). You can believe what works for you. I just want to care about you as a person that needs a friend to be here. I’m here whenever you need me.

NOOSPHERE
The noosphere is the dimension of thinking surrounding planet Earth. Just like people together in a closed room would be sharing their breath, we humans are sharing our thoughts and exchanging our energy, and that volume of thinking surrounds the earth, forming the noosphere.
Nicely worded
Nicely chosen
Nicely done
love the simplicity yet importance of the message. 🙂
