Mindfulness is a practice. It takes some time every day to build up mindfulness attention. With practice it really is beneficial and healthy; especially for the mind, of course. Mindfulness promotes overall good health as well as peace of mind.
My previous post on this subject was an in-depth exploration of the rippling effect (see: ripple-ing). In it, I wrote about my process — simplified for accepting reality and at the same time, how (as I believe) I affect reality — how subtly, I influence reality is more like it. In time this adds up.
Our thoughts confirm for us who we think that we are.
The process of rippling (correctly) has to do with being loving, compassionate, kindness and thus sharing this in our reality… This, in practice is truly beneficial for me and also for humanity. By rippling, I can apply mindful attention to sending loving compassion into the world. I had put it this way:
We may each send out Ripples of Blessings, Ripples of Social Justice, Ripples of Goodness, Ripples of Peace, and Ripples of Loving-Kindness — sending these past any barriers and over or around any boundaries to merge with the ripples of other waves of other positive ripples.
Some Buddhist monks are able to stay with a particular thought so completely that their body changes demonstrate this. I’ve watched many videos that demonstrate this. Let’s look at an example.
In fact, I’ve seen brain scans that demonstrate that monks are able to alter their brainwaves at will. I know by the medical reports and research — this is real and greatly beneficial… Is the brain spiritually wired?

What might our thoughts be doing today? Without training, the ego runs the show and this is a frightening world often times then.

If you didn’t read the original article, its written to summarize a practice for growth through mindfulness and peaceful serenity into a person with a very healthy outlook. The mindfulness of rippling is detailed in that previous article (ripple-ing).
If you are ready to learn more about the meditations, I have a simple mindfulness guided mediation for you today (or whenever you are ready):

Very important. I try to do this everyday. i didn’t know there was a word for it. Very cool, Thanks Eric. You are one smart guy.
Good post, Eric. I’m sending you positive loving energy 🙂
Pretty interesting concept. Somehow I keep thinking of transcendence when I read the article:)
Transcendence – refers to the aspect of God’s nature and power which is wholly independent of the material universe; a state of being that has overcome the limitations of physical existence…
Secular appreciating non-religious tend to want us to avoid that term… however, I agree it fits – so, lets see what Sam Harris says for benefit of the non-religious:
also; I posted this: Is the brain spiritually wired?
https://hunt4truth.wordpress.com/2013/10/13/is-the-brain-spirituality-wired/
Mindfulness ought be a neutral term for inclusion of meditative benefits that are non-religious and yet still “spiritual” in its sense of it brings us decreased focus on the self and relief of ego burden
THATS A
Good point!
THANK you.

It’s sad because the medical community is now going to require 2 or more studies to be exactly the same before they recognize the study as successful. They were talking about this due to Canadian hockey players and concussions and they found that the white matter in the brain changes, which some neurologists refuse to accept this due to being stuck in the old ways. The scientific community was talking about how the internet has destroyed old scientific studies that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars through grant money because these are in paper format and have not been uploaded to the internet, but also, the internet has increased with so much biased information, the true study might be on page 20 of Google and no one will find it because not many people will search 20 pages on a research topic. So it’s money down the drain. Now they are requiring studies to be done 2 or more times, making studies more expensive and rendering information useless. It’s quite sad! I would be willing to accept studies with peer reviews in the essence to progress science and save money.
The new awareness of spirituality is non-scientific and yet scientific. I do use Biblical reference as you know on my path to spirituality. However, the dawning of the Internet is awakening a blogosphere — what my dear deceased Pierre Teilhard de Chardin proclaimed to come was dawning of consciousness detailed in his works as descriptions of a Noosphere, The Noosphere was a concept used by Vladimir Vernadsky and then Teilhard de Chardin to denote the “sphere of human thought” and however, in contrast to the conceptions of Gaia theorists, or promoters of cyberspace awakenings, Vernadsky’s noosphere emerges at the point where humankind, through the mastery of nuclear processes may create resources through the transmutation of elements.
This blog is dedicated to the dawning of this human merging with Spirit – a divine milieu of men and women from faith and even from non-faith; from all walks of life and cultures even from third-world countries and of course the well-to-do are participating to a degree too. The only common element is mindfulness — a faith to believe that thought is a living system… noticing that we create internal order by expending energy in exchange for a local reduction in entropy.
I work through the science of it too — the Einstein series and related articles trace its origin and the frustration of intangible roots of consciousness known in the universe as wave and particle interaction of quantum energies.
The past is not our master any longer. We may embrace the past and the frustrations of it and in now moments of mindfulness we transform our minds and bodies — so, the now presents a new dawning of awareness that transforms even the past and we begin consciously creating in us seeds of a loving and powerful new humankind.
It cannot be stopped. The momentum is awesome – fear is an illusion of separations and love is the force of transcendence that brings us into the light of connectivity.
Hi! Great blog could possibly check out mine thanks 🙂 xx
Thank you Mouhcina. I love your blog diverse topics… I can work with football and the tips.~ Eric
FB is a good place to practice mindfulness. You really can see who does the practice and who doesn’t there.. 🙂 eve
