Serbian artist Dušan Krtolica just might be the next big child prodigy. This 11-year-old is a master artist, drawing a wide array of anatomically correct flora and fauna with a level of mastery that is far beyond his years. Krtolica has been drawing since he was two years old and obviously hasn’t looked back since. By the time he was eight years old Krtolica had already had two national solo exhibitions – something that many perfectly capable adult artists cannot claim.
.
.
The young prodigy clearly has a strong fascination, as the majority of his beautiful drawings are saturated with countless different species of every plant and animal under the sun. Like many boys his age, he is also fascinated by dinosaurs and other extinct species, so he doesn’t just limit his zoological artistic adventures to living creatures – ancient flightless birds and early mammals also populate his beautiful landscapes.
.
Given his fascination with the natural world, it makes sense that Krtolica wants to be a zoologist when he grows up. “I would have studied animals and published a book about them, but I’m going to draw all of them,” said the young artist. At his age, he will still have plenty of opportunities to change his mind, but hopefully he will nurture and carry his amazing talent with him for the rest of his life. source

Thanks for the lovely images Cindy!

Leonardo da Vinci finished the Last Supper in 1498. It is in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria della Grazie, Milan, Italy. Leonardo worked for Ludovico Sforza, Duke of Milan, for nearly eighteen years (1482-99). In 1495, the Duke decided he wanted this particular religious scene painted.

inI love this !
For some, it takes a long time to master any skill as a human – for others, we are amazed right off from the get-go. It isn’t a race though; whomever is refined we know gets there by the practice that is required.

Born: July 14, 1862
Died: February 6, 1918
Nineteenth century Austrian painter Klimt is known for his highly decorative style and erotic works. Klimt was a controversial figure in his time. His work was constantly criticized for being too sensual and erotic, and his symbolism too deviant.
His decorative works began as a rebellion against the traditional academic art of his time. This is most famous of his work entitled.

.
I visited many galleries online while looking at Klimt works.
I linked some above and here is another CLICK as well.
The Klimt Golden Paintings received a very wide positive reaction and these were very successful paintings.
These paintings used gold leaf paint.
They include Pallas Athene (1898), Judith I (1901), Goldener Apfelbaum 1903, the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I (1907), and The Kiss (1907-1908).
Was Klimt perhaps inspired by works
from Piero della Francesca (1415 – 1492)?
.
I wondered — I looked — I didn’t find an answer.
They both put a mystical beauty in their works — what do I know?
Klimt’s painting are overall better preserved.
Most of Francesca’s are badly damaged.
The above,

inI’m into rare art today.
I created a poster with this legend some time ago and put it on the wall at work. Sometimes visitors, clients or staff stop and read it but mostly they don’t. I went looking for this today so that I could post it on my blog for you all however I could not find it, so I created this one instead. 🙂 One of my fellow bloggers was telling me a few days ago about the joy she gains from creating. I would have to agree. However I digress…. (which is not unusual for me 😀 )
This legend is powerful in its simplicity. I often write about our thoughts influencing our actions and our lives. I stress that what we think creates who we are. If we think darkly, our lives become dark. If we think of beauty and light, then our lives and our actions will reflect that. It…

This is my very favorite instrumental artistic rendition of Amazing Grace.
I wish I could change up some the images. I love some of them.

3DGalaxyMap is a 3D representation of our Galaxy, the Milky Way. It contains an overview map of the Milky Way Galaxy, as seen from above and a map of the Orion Arm (where our Sun is located) showing its major structures. The Orion Arm map is divided into navigable 10 parsec sectors, where you can explore stars. It contains a total of 142.278 known stars, 478 planets, 1855 pulsars, 31 disks and 14 black holes. Planet, pulsar and multiple stars’ orbits can be observed by increasing and decreasing the speed. You can rotate/zoom/pan within each of the scenes for a better view.

inI’ve not ever thought of myself as dead or been a follower of the most notable Grateful Dead. However, yesterday, I posted a musical piece by Avenged Sevenfold and it was because the music and the artists had me thinking good things — even though the Goth-punkishness is honestly a bit repulsive — I looked into and beyond that and I noticed His Love. I recalled my mentor’s patience with me — his desiring for me to find the divine love of God’s intentions for me.
I recalled that I’d had to “fake it to make it.”
So, I’m grateful today — for any that are faking it to make it. I’m praying that you will come into His Love. I’m praying that your consciousness will come into mending and healing. I’m prayerful that honest, open, willingness will settle gently into the hearts and spirit of any that notice that to ask is to receive.

inNorman Joel Greenbaum… rare French video footage
then he retired…
then he did gigs… and here he is rehearsing “California Earthquake” in the studio with his original backup singers the Stovall Sisters.
Here is a copy of the finished “California Earthquake”
BUT — I loved the hit, Spirit In The Sky.
When I die and they lay me to rest
Gonna go to the place that’s the best
When I lay me down to die
Goin’ up to the spirit in the sky
Goin’ up to the spirit in the sky
That’s where I’m gonna go when I die
When I die and they lay me to rest
Gonna go to the place that’s the best
Prepare yourself you know it’s a must
Gotta have a friend in Jesus
So you know that when you die
He’s gonna recommend you
To the spirit in the sky
Gonna recommend you
To the spirit in the sky
That’s where you’re gonna go when you die
When you die and they lay you to rest
You’re gonna go to the place that’s the best
Never been a sinner I never sinned
I got a friend in Jesus
So you know that when I die
He’s gonna set me up with
The spirit in the sky
Oh set me up with the spirit in the sky
That’s where I’m gonna go when I die
When I die and they lay me to rest
I’m gonna go to the place that’s the best
Go to the place that’s the best
It was not his only song. Other songs that sold were: “Canned Ham”, “California Earthquake”, “The Eggplant That Ate Chicago“, and “Petaluma” and you can visit his Website for more about Normam Greenbaum.
