“Researchers used brain scans to analyze the thought process of people with ‘high justice sensitivity’. By using afunctional magnetic resonance (fMRI) brain scanning device, they studied the brain activity as the subjects watched videos showing behavior that was morally good or bad like seeing a person put money in the beggar’s cup or kick the beggar’s cup away. They were asked how much they would blame or praise the person in the video and to complete questionnaires that assessed cognitive and emotional empathy and their justice sensitivity.
Those who scored high on the justice sensitivity assigned significantly more blame when asked to evaluate scenes of harm and also praised more the act of an helping person. But it was the brain scans that surprised the scientists.
During the behavior-evaluation exercise, people with high justice sensitivity showed more activity in the parts of brain associated with higher order cognition as compared to an average subject whereas the areas of brain concerned with emotional processing were not affected at all. Thus proving that individuals sensitive to justice are cognitively driven, not emotionally as everyone thinks.
So the search of justice does not primarily come from the sentimental motivations like portrayed rather it comes from reason and mental sophisticated analysis.
When evaluating good actions, a high activity in the regions of brain involved on decision making, motivation and reward was shown, answering why some people react more strongly to justice related situations and why they value justice more than others. The findings also suggest that individuals make judgement about behavior based on how they process the reward value of good actions as compared to bad actions.”

How do you suppose people are coming to higher-consciousness about social justice?
If you have been following my blog, you may guess that I believe it isn’t by accident — I’m pretty darn sure its because this is what we are doing while we are getting more spiritually fit and mindfully attuned and prayerfully loving. We are changing our brains and our genetics. We are evolving. We are learning and teaching that it is good to love being loving and compassionate. We are learning that we may even have compassion for people that are awful (and of course still have legal justice)… its work; yes it is… its God’s work.
My mission is to promote loving; not religion. You may also though enjoy the remainder of my post today. I hope so.

As I face myself in the mirror… I’m looking for holiness within my human face… that will come along.
I love this !
For some, it takes a long time to master any skill as a human – for others, we are amazed right off from the get-go. It isn’t a race though; whomever is refined we know gets there by the practice that is required.
I do love art. Much to my amazement, I recently received a stunning new award from my friend Marlyn at Kintal. Please click the badge to see more about Marlyn’s new award.
Marlyn Suarez-Exconde’s blog presents insights about society and people using drawings, photos, and colorful works that she and her family create. You ought to see it yourself at kintal.wordpress.com.
I added Marlyn’s Ajay-inspired badge into some of my artistic posts with a link back to her page. I posted it also in my Awardspage.
Thank you Marlyn!

Program Description
About 25 years after painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel and many years after the death of Pope Julius II, Michelangelo is asked to paint the wall behind the altar with a fresco of the Last Judgment by Pope Clement VII.
Michelangelo is not the same man he was when he painted the ceiling. His mood is more pessimistic, he is more devout and clearly concerned about the fate of his own soul. The times had changed as well. The Protestant Reformation was well under way, and the Church was beginning to turn its back on the Humanism of the High Renaissance. The Church responded to the attack by Luther by going on the offensive, bringing a powerful, energized Catholicism to the people. The subject of the Last Judgment, where we see the damned tortured in hell, needs to be seen against these historical developments.
The Last Judgment is a very old subject in art history represented by many artists. The subject is the Second Coming of Christ, where Christ returns to judge all of mankind.
Christ separates the blessed (those who will go to heaven), who he gathers on his right, from the damned (those who will go to hell), who he gathers on his left. In the 9th and 10th centuries, during the Middle Ages, this scene was often represented on the doorways of churches so that you had a frightening image of the Day of Judgment on your way in to church.
Here, Michelangelo shows us Christ in the center and below him to his (Christ’s) left are the damned who are being pulled down to hell and shipped to hell where they are tortured by demons.
Below Christ to his right (careful — not our right) are the blessed who rise from their graves and float up to heaven with the aid of angels.
On either side of Christ directly are important figures, like Eve, and also Saints, many of whom died particularly painful deaths. We can identify these different Saints by what they carry. Usually Saints carry the instruments of their martyrdom, or some other identifying attribute.
Saint Catherine carries a wheel because she was martyred on the spokes of a wheel (here she is from Michelangelo’s fresco). Saint Lawrence carries a grill, because he was burned to death, and Saint Sebastian carries arrows because his entire body was pierced by arrows.
Michelangelo said that these saints “sew the seeds of faith,” that is, by their example of faith — a faith so firm that they were willing to undergo physical torture and death — they provide an example for us.
Michelangelo also included Saint Bartholomew, who was martyred by being skinned alive. He holds the knife in one hand, and in his other he holds his skin. When we look closely at the skin of St. Bartholomew we see that Michelangelo painted his self-portrait there which appears distorted in the sagging skin.
We know from Michelangelo’s poetry that at this point in his life (for the 16th century he was an old man) he was feeling more devout and concerned about the fate of his own soul. He placed his self-portrait hovering precariously over hell and midway, in a diagonal line, between Christ, and the famous image of the man who has just realized that he is being pulled down toward hell.
Michelangelo certainly presents a different image of humanity in the Last Judgment than he did on the ceiling. On the ceiling Michelangelo presented us with God’s plan to redeem a fallen mankind. As we saw, the figures on the ceiling are ideally beautiful, and heroic. The figures in the Last Judgment in contrast, are ill-proportioned (their heads are too small for their bodies), and they assume ugly, awkward poses. Christ appears here not as a redeemer but as an angry judge. And Michelangelo seems to be exploring the power of ugliness to portray the terror of the Last Judgment.

Jesus said, “I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” He claimed attributes belonging only to God; to be able to forgive people of their sin, free them from habits of sin, give people a more abundant life and grant them eternal life in heaven. Unlike other teachers who focused people on their words, Jesus pointed people to himself. He did not say, “follow my words and you will find truth.” He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father but through me.”

I personally believe that God’s Holy Spirit places love upon every soul, plant, animal and even upon inorganic matter. Science can “see” this as quantum energy. Science cannot explain this. Presently it requires faith to understand the mysteries of God’s Divine Love. However, once a sufficient faith dawns upon a human, God is the love and awesome energy that powers every thought, the intelligent force that grows every hair on heads and that He even knows the number of all of these becomes real. It’s a personal but real experience and it has to be okay if you don’t believe me. If you do, I’m so happy for you because I understand how happy you must be.
We ought in our daily lives look for the truth of God and His Divine Love is my take on what’s best for us. When I named my blog this is what I had in mind. Meantime, I do what I can to make this interesting.
Today I have a couple of entertaining videos for you.

the sun rises
burns brightly
shows its might
then dies a death
in your world every night;
the full moon
in all its beauty
waxes and wanes
how many times
have you looked up at the sky
and noticed all this change?
people walk into your life
play different roles
give you love
nourish your souls,
give you reasons
to shed tears
or to laugh
over the years!
but when their time comes
they go their way
leaving you
by yourself
just like the day you first came
you, mortal being
with immortal soul
few more years
or who knows how many days
or how many breaths
you have at stake
what did you do today
to make a heart smile
soothe someone’s ache?
what did you give away
that made you richer
than yesterday?
how did you please your Beloved
knowing, that in the end its only between you…

And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon England’s mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God On England’s pleasant pastures seen?
And did the Countenance Divine Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here Among these dark Satanic Mills?
Bring me my bow of burning gold! Bring me my arrows of desire! Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold! Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight, Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand, Till we have built Jerusalem In England’s green and pleasant land.

“Jerusalem” is a rallying call to the people of England — an “English” rather than a “British” poem. The call is to make the country a fit place for the foundation of Heaven on Earth.

I like the poem and the music.
I don’t really understand it… at all.
I just don’t feel it.
That’s just me I figure.
It’s gettin’ near dawn, When lights close their tired eyes. I’ll soon be with you my love, To give you my dawn surprise.
I’ll be with you darling soon, I’ll be with you when the stars start falling. I’ve been waiting so long To be where I’m going In the sunshine of your love.
I’m with you my love, The light’s shinin’ through on you. Yes, I’m with you my love, It’s the morning and just we two. I’ll stay with you darling now, I’ll stay with you till my seeds are all dried up.

If you don’t know my young friend Misty Edwards, you will after this post. Misty recalls that contrast can bring her to a moment of clarity. I want to explore awakening moments with you here today. Watch this:
When the day comes and the moment is upon us, the message will speak in the heart itself. Later there is another moment; and later, another. Watch this (1st 15 minutes):
. Sometimes, the moments last for a day, a week, a month, a year, or a lifetime. What I needed to know is that God is eternally in love with you, me and anyone – even people that may repulse or victimize others.
I was a man that needed over and over to see contrast. I needed to see the suffering and hopelessness and I needed to see people uninhibited with authentic passion for God’s love.
In my own case, the contrast occurred dozens of times and even in extraordinary manner. However, as I look back now, I think that even makes astounding perfect poetic sense. I finally noticed that any moment is a good one to come squarely into the light of God’s love.
Days and nights pass and ages bloom and fade like flowers. Thou knowest how to wait.
Thy centuries follow each other perfecting a small wild flower.
We have no time to lose, and having no time we must scramble for a chance. We are too poor to be late.
And thus it is that time goes by while I give it to every querulous man who claims it, and thine altar is empty of all offerings to the last.
At the end of the day I hasten in fear lest thy gate be shut; but I find that yet there is time.

Beginning with Einstein’s discoveries in the early 1900s, time became a curvature of space-time. It is still a huge discovery. It came from no-place as it seems to Einstein by Gedankenexperiment(“mind” experiments — thought experiments carried out in the mind only). The universe is somehow constructed on subatomic particles that flit in and out of space-time. Watch this short video for some artistic insight:
Looked down from a broken sky Traced out by the city lights My world from a mile high Best seat in the house tonight Touched down on the cold black top Hold on for the sudden stop Breath in the familiar shock Of confusion and chaos All those people going somewhere, Why have I never cared?
Give me your eyes for just one second Give me your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me your love for humanity Give me your arms for the broken hearted Ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me your heart for the ones forgotten Give me your eyes so I can see Yeah Yeah
Step out on a busy street See a girl and our eyes meet Does her best to smile at me To hide what’s underneath There’s a man just to her right Black suit and a bright red tie Too ashamed to tell his wife He’s out of work He’s buying time All those people going somewhere Why have I never cared?
Give me your eyes for just one second Give me your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me your love for humanity Give me your arms for the broken hearted Ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me your heart for the ones forgotten Give me your eyes so I can see Yeah Yeah
I’ve Been there a million times A couple of million eyes Just moving past me by I swear I never thought that I was wrong Well I want a second glance So give me a second chance To see the way you see the people all along
Give me your eyes for just one second Give me your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me your love for humanity Give me your arms for the broken hearted Ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me your heart for the ones forgotten Give me your eyes so I can see Yeah Yeah
Give me your eyes for just one second Give me your eyes so I can see Everything that I keep missing Give me your love for humanity Give me your arms for the broken hearted Ones that are far beyond my reach. Give me your heart for the ones forgotten Give me your eyes so I can see Yeah Yeah
[Background] Give me your eyes! Lord give me your eyes! Everything, I keep missing Give me your arms! For the broken hearted! Give me your arms, Lord, give me your eyes.

I’ve been working on several posts but none of them strike me as just right for today.
So, I got to recalling what worked lately to open me up.
Music and especially what provokes some thinking… seems right.
God’s truth always comes in layers – stages – more follows from some. Yet, cessation of suffering may not be done with because we live in reverse of our spiritual needs. We seek to satisfy our instinctual drives and we forego being loving and authentic.
Why when we turn away from God at all and then sometimes we may even be so bold as to deny that we KNOW He loves us? Its fear.
Deep down, when a person begins to fathom that God is love, its strange… therefore, we live here in the universe that supports what is opposed to love. Its strange. Yet it makes perfect sense. The world of us almost to a one turn away from God’s will during the normal — even during the absolutely normal days.
Well, we most of us are in the same boat — its inking before we come to our senses. Some of us are going to get on our knees and say some fox hole prayer and or not even do that much and expect it all to be okay.
The human without God is riddled by fear – some cover it with hardness and they are just awful – you know that well, I am sure – others are working hard to be gentle and courteous and peaceful and less worldly but doing it alone. Today, I want to play a song and leave just a glimmer of something to think about. Its Monday; we are back at work and this is a no stress morning and day I pray.
The human without God is riddled by fear. Its not necessary.
I found the second video first – but I didn’t listen to her speak… I loaded it again after finding the first one … its WAY better that I did; Now, I am crying… a good cry it is… Thanks to Heather for mentioning the song.
It seems very strange actually to me that very brilliant men and women of science tend to miss the very most essential observations with so much time for them to see what is shown by God in a flash – His presence.
Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin made history on April 12, 1961 when he became both the first person in the world to enter space and the first person to orbit the Earth.
