This was SO easy to sign the petition – and I feel good about it too. I hope everyone adds their name to this petition. The Monarch Butterflies can’t really do anything to save themselves.
Thanks. ~ Eric
The stunning Monarch Butterfly on its life-giving Milkweed.

When our time on this planet is over, how do you think that our generation of humans or our species will be remembered?
If the rapid rate of death for so many Threatened and Endangered Species is any indicator, we will most likely be thought of in much the same light as the gladiators of ancient Rome.
The present state of existence for the beautiful Monarch butterfly is in a free fall and the major cause of it, is not a shock to those who love animals.
The multitude of heinous acts committed by Monsanto and the ever increasing devastation of living things on our planet is a direct result of their herbicides and pesticides.
This toxic soup is being force-fed to innocent animals, plants and humans, without prejudice, as Monsanto is an equal opportunity chemical assassin.

As milkweed goes, so goes the monarch butterfly.
“Plight of the Monarch,” a new 22-minute documentary by fine art photographers Cindy and Kirby Pringle, looks the crucial role milkweed plays in the lifecycle of the monarch butterfly. Because milkweed is disappearing — it is being mowed and sprayed by herbicides — so is the monarch butterfly. The reason is simple, but not so easily solved: loss of habitat. The butterfly needs milkweed to survive and when milkweed disappears — so will the monarch.
All the video and photographs are by the Pringles, except for the last image in the film. Original music is by Will DeSelms and Bruce Parker.
The Pringles are the authors of three books and are available to show their documentary and talk about the monarch butterfly to butterfly organizations, Audubon Society chapters, garden clubs, nature organizations, schools, libraries and other environmental groups. Feel free to contact them at Pringle.Photography (@) gmail.com or stop by their website at http://www.dogtownartworks.com
Read a week ago about zombie bees. Posted something to facebook but no one commented which surprised me because I had AWESOME pictures posted with a caption saying “it was nice knowing ya all!” It surprised me because usually something like that would generate a response, but I don’t think they got what I meant which scared me because if the bee colony collapses, so do a lot of our food sources which means 1) I have a right to fear that the contaminated environment is affecting people’s thought process (but then I’m exposed to exhaust pollutants everyday due to living next to busy bypass and street) or 2) they are uneducated or don’t believe in evolution science (which I’m starting to run into more as of last couple of years)
which btw, great debate the other night! (if I don’t respond to a comment, forgive me. For some reason, my emails aren’t getting to me until days later (found out today) and still trying to figure out the dashboard)
I do pray that there may be support groups for these issues and that responsible and right-minded people will be able to bring these issue into the light.
It really is time (now) for admission of harm done and for setting into place means to give in service.
Thank you.
I agree. God’s creatures are just that and we should do all we can to preserve them–humans too. 😉
Thank you so much Eric. You are right. They and all of the others being bombarded daily with these toxins cannot do anything to save themselves. Their lives are in our hands. What will we choose to do?
I like the forest service website and I looked at the post there: http://www.fs.fed.us/wildflowers/pollinators/monarchbutterfly/migration/index.shtml
Thanks for your work to bring God-consciousness thinking into lives here – we humans need lots of direction and guidance.
