Although fractal geometry was theorized at the beginning of the 20th century, it was not until the development of the super computer that we have been able to see the full implications of fractals. Bruce Lipton, cellular biologist, explains here, our fractal nature of the universe and how it applies to our biology… mutations are not mistakes and the evolution is not entirely random. Mutation comes about by changes — by choices made at the cellular level. Lipton explains that because of fractal geometry, we can see that the evolution of humanity is a fractal projection that is tied directly into the evolution of the earth, and the universe.
I watched cichlid family fish evolution in a documentary and the process is explored and reported in many places including here and here. The cichlid caught by scientists in the act of splitting into two distinct species were in Lake Victoria.
In this video, Lipton explains how each cell has a backbone and the shape is determined by the distribution of positive and negative charges. Proteins can move by changing the charges. They respond to signals from the environment such as energy fields that cause constructive or destructive interference. Such signals cause the backbone to change. A specific stimulus binds to the cell membrane at a specific receptor. When the right signal is present, they work. When the wrong signal is present, they might not work or they might move away. The skin of the cell is the brain of the cell or the mem-brane.
The skin, membrane, is two rows of molecules, mirror image to each other — crystal, but movable. The outside, polar heads are water loving, and the interior, the legs are oil loving lipids. Much like a butter sandwich; neither water nor oil objects would easily move through. However, the membrane also has integral membrane proteins. These proteins have antennae which are tuned to specific items. These proteins are able to perceive and respond to changes in their environment, similar to how we perceive environmental change and then adjust.
The work that Lipton is promoting here, in the video (don’t go by what I write please) is revealing even of how we, as humans may be separate from our source — following from our cellular disconnection right through into any conscious thoughts — it being then necessary to consciously direct the body to be mindful of divinity — or surely we may forget this importance. The receptors on each and every cell that make us individuals are what maintain us separate from our source. Thus, the ancient wisdom that teaches that we must look inward for the stillness of source rather than draw upon experiences and previous perceptions is quite wise – isn’t it… so, as it turns out, biology is poised to discover that each and every cell membrane is what is preventing us from direct contact with the origin of true-self. The dream of separate reality continues in the meantime. Now, you probably know, I am always right back to my central theme of this blog – inner peace, stillness and serenity through ceaseless prayer and meditation is key to living more and more completely God’s will and to accepting the grace of God that is always available.

A premise that genetic mutations are random is an error. Darwin’s idea that nature selects the strongest does not hold true. Mutations usually detract from the viability of an organism. Nature eliminates the weakest mutations and doesn’t really care about the strongest. Genetic determinism went in the wrong direction. Our health is determined by perceptions, not by genetics. In the ground breaking work introduced here, Dr. Lipton demonstrated that a cell is able to perceive and respond to perceptions at its level — individually, each cell morphing in time according to its perceptions.

Question: Are Americans still leading in scientific innovation?
DeGrasse Tyson: If I put on my pure scientist hat as opposed to my American scientist hat, pure scientist hat, I say, if we don’t build the land, somebody else will and the science will get discovered. If we don’t explore the moons, somebody else will. It will get discovered. That’s one of the hallmarks of science that distinguishes it from art. In science, if you don’t do it, somebody else will. Whereas in art, if Beethoven didn’t compose the Ninth Symphony, no one else before or after is going to compose the Ninth Symphony that he composed, no one else is going to paint Starry Night by van Gogh. So science, when done properly, is never owned by one nation or another.

So… That’s what happened with particle physics in America. We were building the largest super collider ever was, the Superconducting Super Collider, to be based in Texas. Two hundred mile circumference ring, we accelerate particles, smash them and explore the conditions that were common in the early universe. That budget got cancelled by congress as we were winding down out of the Cold War. So no longer was the physicist [IB] the way they were after the Second World War going into the Cold War because it was the innovations of physicists that created the bomb in the Manhattan Project. Physics basically ended the war.
So, without a war, certainly without a Cold War, there is a question as to what the value of the Super Collider was to the nation. Now, I don’t know how many people you get to admit that fact but my [read] of history is that when nations spent huge amounts of money on things, it’s hardly ever for the pure value of exploration, there’s usually secondary motives. Primary motives that are presented secondarily like military, like economics or some other sort of factor that matters to national security.
So what happened? Europe took up the task. So, at CERN, which is the acronym for the super collider [The Large Hadron Collider], the European consortiumm super collider in Switzerland, they now have the most powerful collider in the world. They are the ones who are going to be probing the conditions near the Big Bang, not us.
So my pure scientist hat is I don’t care who does it as long it’s done, long as somebody does it. The American scientist in me, ’cause I’m born and raised in America and I care deeply for this nation, is I kind of prefer that we did it because I know we can.
If we weren’t wealthy or if we had… I’d say, you know, now is not the time. Let some other wealthier, more powerful nation do it than us. But is it time for me to say that? Are we really that poor? Are we really that… without means of a 3 trillion dollar budget to spend? It’s about the balance of that portfolio of spending that makes a nation, how much do you spend on art, health care, poverty, research and development, the veterans, military. You layout the portfolio, that is the country that you live in.
Three trillion is enough to buy, as far as I’m concerned, anything we want, anything we choose to. And so, I wish it was here because if we make it here, the opportunities arise here, the engineering opportunities, the engineering solutions to problem we never seen before, that then create a climate, a landscape of innovation that… I remember growing up, America had, like, the longest bridge, the longest tunnel, the fastest planes. And for awhile there, I thought, well, it’s just [bragging] rights, what are you doing. And then, I realize, in order to create the extremes of these technologies, you have to innovate.
You can’t just step there, it’s not… it’s hardly ever just make it a little longer. This was longer so it’s more stress on the structure, there’s… so we have to invent something new to accommodate this need or this desire. And there, [you know,] the seeds of innovation.

I just found a resource that is unknown to most of us on WordPress – Dr. Peper is a fascinating expert and he’s posting some very interesting health news here on WordPress. How about our good fortune today – wow. Thanks Doc!
We park children in front of tablets, smartphone, computers and TVs. The visual and auditory stimulation captures their attention. It is a superb baby sitter. We substitute electronic displays for human attention.
To distract the baby at dinner in a restaurant, we hand the baby a smartphone. To have some private time, we let the child play games on the tablet. To reduce stress before dinner, we hand the child the tablet to watch video clips or play games. The short term benefits of letting handheld devices capture the child’s attention may have long term costs.
The child sits, sits and sits while being captured by the rapid changing visual scenes and auditory sounds instead of playing and enhancing motor development. The addictiveness of electronic devices occurs because we automatically attend to and are captured by rapidly changing stimuli—it is new and could be dangerous. This reaction to attend which…

There is a parapsychology experiment that begun in 1998. The Global Consciousness project uses technology to detect possible interactions of “global consciousness” with physical systems.
The project monitors a geographically distributed network of hardware random number generators to identify anomalous outputs that correspond with widespread emotional responses to world events, or periods of focused attention by large numbers of people.

There can be no balance of science and religion. There can be a give-and-take relationship that recognizes this. The scientist must seek empirical evidence. The faithful must seek absolute knowledge.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin was this imbalance in one visionary.
A biological approach for understanding life that seeks the absolute knowledge — lofty. That science/faith investigation must rearrange perception and place levels of perceptions into most-true perspectives, sort this about, reorganize, sift and categorize, expand and reduce, adjust and test and dialog.
The evolution of this is for me impossible to see. The process is not. I worked at it for many yeas, I see the process clearly.
This new emergence of a global Internet and of communication is essential. A process for intellectual evolution is necessary too. Teilhard, I think, viewed this process evolving from democratic global leadership.
Interestingly, this too is occurring and the ultra fast Internet is stimulating this. The balance too is virtually impossible to maintain of authoritative and individualist interests.
So, Teilhard went further too and he predicted trans-humanizing biology — enhancing humans.
All this and more is in the present happening.

As readers of this blog know, I believe that a synthesis of sound science and ancient spiritual traditions (combined with a healthy dose of humility) is necessary to avoid the dangers of fundamentalism, whether it be religious fundamentalism or scientific fundamentalism. I love science. However, I do believe that science is meant to partner with (hold hands with) faith and the two ought, in my opinion, be like dear friends. Science once was working in harmony with the faithful — however, we know that the Church many times suppressed scientific findings and there were and continue to be numerous conflicts between religious and scientists. Its wrongful use of authority in the churches to suppress real science.
I think its wrong for religion and science to be popping off against one or the other. What I have to say isn’t to violate science.
Real science is good work making our lives more healthy and making our world a better and safer place to live. We need more responsible science… not less.
I want to take exception with marketing practices of scientism (not science).
Famed theoretical physicist and cosmologist, Stephen Hawking, was trending after he dismissed the idea of Heaven as “a fairy story.” In an interview with The Guardian, Hawking said, “There is no heaven or afterlife … that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark.”
He has been under fire from religious circles before, most recently after his book, The Grand Design argued that god did not create the universe and that The Big Bang was a natural event that created everything from nothing. That didn’t irk me. It made no real difference to me. Most Christians and religious ignored that it can’t be correct. We’ve heard this sort of thing before… its no biggie.
The thing that irks me is his blatant brashness is getting him in the news. His brash ‘fairy story’ statements are being run as news from a scientist; as if we ought therefore fall away from our beliefs.

The other thing I didn’t find is that his motive isn’t just to sell his books and gain publicity for his shows and for lasting fame. I found all that. What I didn’t find is that this is an effort to put an end to scientific investigating, by real scientists, of the actual rightful scientific origin of our universe and of our own human lives. Hawking is doing what before his brashness was called using pseudo-science. His recent announcements of theories are not science.
This is what he’s up too… misuse of his power and position… and if I am the first to say so, I surely won’t be the last.
Hawking is misusing his position to misrepresent a few scientific findings with a mix of non-scientific mumbo-jumbo and its to promote his atheist books and papers and his influence with youthful scientist. He’s hiding a mountain size lack of evidence with his scant science and he’s proclaiming there isn’t a creator — saying exactly what science cannot prove as though it were proven.
Since Hawking reduces science to scientism (reductionist materialism), it isn’t a surprise that he began stating his findings with brash unscientific statements.
He is now more famous for criticism of religious beliefs than for his early work as an excellent scientist. He’s reducing himself as a charlatan (impostor, fake, pretender, or swindler); lowering himself like a snake oil remedy salesman proclaims he has the cure for every ailment.
Hawking is practicing scientism,
as much as science. Its wrongful..

When it comes right down to it, science can’t so far even prove that you and I are “real” in some sense of the definition. There are many competing theories that explore what is real. However, if a person really wants to grow in happiness, it makes good sense to follow high moral and ethical standards and to invest plenty of time in developing of higher awareness (spiritual growth), intuitively knowing that this is best.

Research to shed light on how early experience impacts brain development
Program Description
Dr. Richard J. Davidson, Founder and Chair of the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds at the Waisman Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison, discusses a new five-year project focused revealing the pathological pathways that lead to mental disorders such as anxiety and depression.
Made possible by a grant from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to establish a new Silvio O. Conte Center for Basic and Translational Mental Health Research on the UW-Madison campus, it supports three major efforts:
1. Non-invasive studies, using functional, diffusion and structural MRI and other tools, to measure response to stressors in the developing brain beginning in infancy;
2. Molecular studies to characterize anxious temperament at a cellular level, using induced pluripotent stem cells derived from adolescent skin or blood cells;
3. A study of genetically identical twins to describe how experience and environment cause differences in how the brain functions and in which genes are differentially expressed.
“This work will uncover new targets for early interventions to prevent anxiety-related disorders, which exact enormous social, emotional and economic burdens in adolescence and early adulthood,” says Principal Investigator Richard J. Davidson, PhD. “Ultimately, this new knowledge will inform the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders and lead to new neurally-inspired interventions.”

Nothing in the universe is faster than the speed of light – or is it? 
The curvature of space-time is related directly to energy and momentum of whatever matter and radiation are present (in space-time). This is specified by the Einstein field equations. Predictions of general relativity concern especially the passage of time, the geometry of space, the motion of bodies in free fall, and the propagation of light. The theory and other parts of relativity theory are used today in all calculations related to gravity and space-time and light. However, general relativity cannot be reconciled with the laws of quantum physics to produce a complete and self-consistent theory of quantum gravity.
Today, we’ll take a look at some of the possible unknowns that may contribute to finding Einstein’s theories lacking. For instance, we know that Einstein’s equations predict areas of space-time singularities and that paths of light and falling particles may come to an abrupt end in these places, thus causing problems as geometry of those areas becomes ill-defined, making calculations inaccurate. In general relativity, gravity perhaps is advancing with the universe expansion or at the speed of light — this isn’t clear yet. However, it also isn’t clear yet as to what the fabric of space-time is made from. Is the fabric there before particles of matter or is it expanding with the particles and with the galaxies that expand in space-time. Also, its not possible to create definitions for the total mass (or energy) of the universe, nor for the exact accelerating of the expansion.
So, maybe faster-than-light speed is not really impossible as the equations “proved.”
Senario 1: Warp Speed
Think MILLION miles per minute spaceships — or — no-movement spaceships — which is more likely? As it turns out, the latest ideas about super speed space travel are along the lines of developing a new technology that warps space-time. So, by cloaking a ship in a warped space-time fabric it can move to a different position in the universe at incredible speeds — faster than light — call it warp-drive; but actually the spaceship isn’t doing the moving, space-time moves and the ship just sits in a warp of space-time that gets moved along due to its wrapping in a fabric that isn’t held in place as other objects that are not so wrapped. It’s origin is science fiction but its being looked at as a future method for space travel.

The physics of space-time described by Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity allows space-time to become warped due to the relationship between matter/energy density and the gravitational field described by the Einstein Field Equations. Matter and Energy found in the large scale structure of the universe creates a positive torsion in space-time, causing the warping of space-time which is associated with the strength of the gravitational force. In quantum mechanics, zero point energy fluctuations can create negative energy density which should theoretically, in a large enough density, create a negative torsion on space-time.
This knowledge itself is interesting, however the consequences of it could change our common sense notions of motion and provide a way to challenge the cosmic speed limit, the speed of light. In 1994, Miguel Alcubierre developed a geodesic equation to describe space-time warped in a bubble around a ship, creating a “warp drive.”
The warp drive proposed by Alcubierre could achieve near light speeds and even faster-than-light speeds by distorting space-time. To accomplish this, a theoretical device would generate a field of negative energy that would squeeze or stretch space-time, creating the bubble. The bubble would ride the distortions like a surfer on a wave. As evidenced by the uniformity of the Cosmic Microwave Background from the Big Bang, space-time can expand so quickly that objects can move faster than the speed of light. Therefore the current models of physics generally allow for the existence of a warp field that can accelerate objects faster than the speed of light.
The real questions to ask is whether or not such a warp field can exist on macroscopic scales and if so can it remain is stable long enough to traverse a significant distance. Moreover it is unknown how it is technologically possible, i.e. under what conditions does matter allow for the creation of a negative energy density. Youtube watch?=dXyQ92SPWds

A Unified Theory Of All of Physics Might Be Nice To Have
Einstein worked to unify quantum physics with his theories and was unable. The work has been taken up by science at hundreds of Universities and other organizations like CERN and NASA and by other private companies. This is perfect timing for those that need a computer for school and for travel — the ultra fast (but small) hard drive is virtually indestructible. This computer is not for compiling music and video downloads… the drive is way to small. Use the home computer for that.
